W
No, not that W - the hotel chain. I'm staying at the W in Atlanta and it is definitely not like any other chain. A very San Francisco feel. Techno music greets you in the parking lot. The same music is broadcast throughout - lobby, elevator, halls, etc. There are phrases projected on the walls and floors. The lighting becomes dark in the evening with lit candles everywhere. The halls are illuminated with black lights and red bulbs - very dim. The decor has a scandinavian/japanese feel. I like the concept, but I must say that it disoriented me a bit when I arrived at 1am or so to check. No I wasn't out partying - I've been working crazy hours to get a proposal out.
If I get a break I am going out and buying a small digital camera so that I can take pictures when I travel - I'll take some pictures of the W and post them.
I welcome camera recommendations...

I'm planning on purchasing a canon digital elph. Small, good quality pics and perfect for travel. It's going to be my snapshot camera. I'd reccommend it.

The W. We envied the W while we spent our 3 nights in Atlanta at the Hamption Inn with no air conditioning in an 85 degree room. Every time we walked out of our hotel the W loomed before us and we wondered what it would be like to be staying there in an air conditioned room. Now we know. Next time... the W all the way :)
You should go take a tour off the CNN Center during your lunch break, or at some point!
lunch break...hee hee...very funny
