And now for a musical medley...

All the cops in the donut shops say oooohwaaaayoooo (Bangles/Walk Like an Egyptian)
While in Norfolk on business I encountered two police officers patrolling on Segways. Is it just me or do those machines represent the end of civilization. It's not like they get you anywhere faster than you can walk. Given the choice of standing for an hour or walking for an hour, I would definitely choose the later. The machines take up too much room on city sidewalks and would be a total nuisance on the streets. I just don't get them... Now GoCars on the other hand are way cool!

Why do fools... (Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers/Why Do Fools Fall in Love)
Saturday was full of April Fool's jokes in our house. Mattie brought me black coffee in bed; only it wasn't coffee, it was diet Coke (at least it was cold). She then heated it up and added cream and presented it to Karyn. Grace later fooled me into believing that there was a heron in the pond in our back yard (it has happened before). Haley had a bunch of little tricks that she played on me throughout the day.

think you're in the movies, everything's so deep (Cars/You Might Think)
I kept seeing Rex on TV Saturday. I watched Phil of the Future with the girls Saturday morning and Phil kept reminding me of Rex. That night I watched Boys Don't Cry and Hilary Swank kept reminding me of Rex.

when I get older losing my hair, many years from now (Beatles/When I'm 64)
Finally, in the you know you are old and boring department - we hired a babysitter Saturday night to go shopping for Spring and Summer clothes for the girls. Boy - exciting life!

I'm agree - not a fan of segways either! I can just see your girls and their 'jokes' :) Really can they be more precious??

I was singing "Walk Like an Egyptian" to my kids while they were eating supper tonight. They giggled as they tried to do the hand motions. Yup, when I was in college, we were listening to the classic music of the sixties; now I'm grooming my kids so when they go to college they can be grooving to the eighties :).
