I get by with a little help from my friends

I completed the 4th of 5 Elite Racing events over the weekend! This one was the Rock 'n' Roll Half at Va Beach. Highlights:

• Having my daughters there to cheer me on
• Surviving Ernesto to get there - including the high water near my Aunt's house
• Listening to Joel & Monica sing songs with my girls
• Great meals
• Old Time Photo Session
• Overheard comment regarding the hotel "the refrigerator keeps things cool, the lounge chairs by the pool are quite comfy, too bad the rooms smell like cat pee"
• Seeing Rex take a backseat to Erin in the eyes of my girls
• Giving two young ladies from Kansas a ride from the airport to their hotel and hearing one of them, a fourth grade teacher, talking to a coworker and trying to reassure her that she hadn't hitched a ride with serial killers
• Zero's Super Grinder
• Tee Shirt of a female runner "Why pass me when you can stare at this a$$"
• Joel's destruction of sand buckets
• Renting a bicycle built for 4+1
• Being humiliated by Monica in Boggle (at least I'm not as bad as Joel)
• Lorree's cookies
• Finishing the half in under 2 hours (1:58:21 to be exact)
